When a mysterious black shield drops over a small town, it covers the community in complete darkness. Those caught inside the dome are left without any communication from the outside world. As hours turn into days, Amy, Nora, and Shin have one thing in common. Don’t get bitten. But with each passing minute, trust begins to wane as friends and mysterious creatures become harder to distinguish.

I absolutely loved revisiting Coffin Falls: The Day the Dome Fell in audiobook format! Having already read the book, I thought I knew the story inside out, but listening to it brought a whole new dimension to the experience.
The narrator does a brilliant job, and I found it fascinating how hearing the descriptions of the monsters brought them to life in a slightly different way to when I first read them. It really highlighted how immersive this world is and just how much detail the author has put into creating it.
The characters were one of the things I loved most about this story the first time around, and that hasn't changed. The shift from everyday teenage life to a terrifying fight for survival is so well done, and I was just as invested listening as I was reading.
And now it's finished, I'm genuinely gutted! 😂 Even though I knew what was coming, I still found myself completely absorbed in the story. That's when you know you've found something special.
If you enjoy fast-paced thrillers, brilliant characters, monsters and a gripping survival story, please give this book a go. Read it or listen to it! Just don't miss out!
Trena Cannon has created a world I want more of, and I cannot recommend Coffin Falls highly enough. 🖤
An already brilliant story made even better by audio!
