Great listen!

Good book! I am so grateful to you for clarifying what's good and what isn't for ties. The book helped me to look at places where I needed to work. To have greater understanding and compassion for myself and others, as well.

Great listen

Hearing this book is like listening to other people in my life and behaviour. Given how confident I am I never thought of myself as codependent. Yet I didn't know how many different forms of codependent conduct there are until I listened to this book. Most times you think your relationships are dysfunctional but never know what's wrong. Listing this book I like it the way it doesn't

Fascinating audible

The presentation is interesting and fascinating as it discusses topics such as what codependency has historically meant in psychological terms and how it can all be traced back to emotions that are not worthy of love and affection, as well as a lack of self-compassion and self-worth concerns.

Worthy listen

When I first began to listen to it, I was worried that I had made the wrong decision simply because I didn't realize it was about being both Codependent and Empath. It ended up going into both topics in depth, however, and differentiates the two in a great and easy way to understand.

Highly recommend

So many of these stories resonated so strongly with me. This has been one of the most helpful non-self help audiobooks I have listen. I would highly recommend this to anyone with relationship struggles.

Helpful approach

A lot of what was said in the audiobook, hit home and very relatable. I have heard the saying treat others, how you want to be treated a lot. But never really did it help in a disagreement. Then it hit me, the light bulb.....I need to assess how people approach me, so I can respond with compassion. The same thing goes for how I approach people.

Excellent

I gifted this to my mother and she ended up loving it. This was weird given that my gifts to her usually fail, but this one passed with flying colors!!

Worthy listen

The introduction is relevant and intriguing as it addresses questions such as what codependency has traditionally meant in psychological terms and how it can all be traced back to feelings of not being deserving of love and affection, as well as a lack of self-compassion and issues of self-worth.I would definitely feel comfortable in recommending this audiobook. Especially if you have a growing suspicion that you might be in a codependent relationship, or if you recognize patterns in yourself that are most likely fueled, not by love, but by codependent tendencies.
