Brilliant story about the world of shadowhunters that’s set in the 1800s so it’s a prequel to the mortal instruments. Only negative thing is the narrator, she was ok but she did weird voices for certain characters which I felt wasn’t really necessary. Still highly recommend, now onto book two for me!

Fantastic story let down by the narrator

I’ve read this before but I loved the book so decided to listen to the audio version, as others have said I wasn’t a fan of the narrator. The voice for Jessamine was probably the worst of the lot and when the characters cry out or shout it’s really cringy. This didn’t however stop me from being gripped by the story all over again and I still enjoyed it a lot so don’t let it put you off.

Great story with a good plot twist

At least this woman doesn't sound like she's trying to be posh!

Is she good at accents? No but she isn't irritating either.

The story as always is awesome.

Narration isn't as bad as the mortal instruments

The story was good as it takes you back in time to shadow hunters of the past. But I was disappointed with the person reading the book as a lot of the voices sometimes sounded the same which made it a bit distracting

Good book
