About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

A roadmap for thinking clearly in any situation.

We all aspire to see the world clearly. And yet all too often, when the pressure is on, we give in to our most irrational impulses - making intuitive decisions that take us ever-further from our goals.

In Clear Thinking, Shane Parrish - 'the former spy who helps Wall Street mavens think smarter' (New York Times) - explains how to think clearly in any situation. He shows that the path to clear thinking lies not in the most high-stakes decisions, but in the most ordinary moments - from how we start our mornings to how we approach our daily conversations. And he uses stories, mental models, and psychological insights to offers a transformative method for seeing through our biases and understanding what's really happening.

The result is a must-have manual for optimizing decision-making and living intentionally. It will clear your head and transform your life.

One of the few “self help books” that is an essential to enable you to think and make decisions based on what is important to you rather than simply follow a method or strategy that is made for hypothetical living

Helped build more perspective on first principles thinking and the importance of understanding our thoughts to be able to clearly articulate ideas.

Clear thinking is a really great audible if you find yourself making impulsive decisions or running on default.

This text teaches you numerous techniques to enable you to consider, evaluate and invoke effective processes and safeguards that will help you make good decisions, learn from the bad ones and become an even better decision maker.

But what really sets this book apart is how Shane tells each story and helps you understand the why and what sonyou can repurpose his advice effectively for your own life.

This is an essential addition to anyone looking to make better decisions or quality assure their current decision-making process. Complements Black Box Thinking and Checklist Manifesto very well. Practical, authoritative and interesting. Weaves stoical and other philosophical introspections into the narrative well. A book I will regularly consult, particularly for the decisions with real consequences. Highly recommend

I've always wondered why some people do so well or progress in whatever they do.
This book explains so much via psychology, human behaviour, science, economics, sociology etc.
It also gives you practical steps to follow in both every day tasks but also big, important times during your life.
Class !

Logical, practical explanations
