Sweet but useless

This book is filled with such gems as - smile -always be in a good mood -let them come in to your classroom for tea and cookies before school And basically runs with the ethos that children just need you to know their hobbies and they will instantly behave. There’s no real practical takeaways. Just the idea that if you’re grumpy, of course the kids will be naughty. I’d kind of figured that out without the book.

Nice and easy to follow

As a reader/listener of many classroom management books, I am certain that this book will benefit any classroom teacher. It’s packed full of fantastic ideas! It is a very thorough and has many resources that any teacher can use and implement immediately. (I just wished the last chapter would have been longer). Plus, the narrator is really the cherry on the cake.

Elegant and Easily Applicable

This audio book has aided me greatly in transitioning into a classroom easily. The book speaks to all age groups and also you to both better your own perception of the classroom and also aides in building relationships with student often seen as "problem students". This book truly was fantastic and I would recommend it to any young teacher or anyone struggling with control in their class!

Excellent for all teachers

Awesome book on classroom management. The author has a way of relating to students and is able to share his methods in an interesting, funny and endearing way. I really appreciate the anecdotes that are so relatable. His emphasis on creating positive relationships with students as well as taking traditional practices and spinning them to awaken and surprise the classroom are inspirational! Well written and easy to understand!

mostly stuff I already knew

Not much new here. The author digs into time management skills towards the end, suggesting trying to fill content.
