Summary

From Tales of Soldiers and Civilians - In the Midst of Life, this, the second tale of the "Civilians" section, takes us into the paranormal as the protagonist becomes a witness to a possible murder. But is it murder when an individual has such power over another individual as to cause their own death?

Is there a moral to it or just a good story

Would you try another book from Ambrose Bierce and/or John Michaels?

Yea....this one is different but kept my attention

Who was your favorite character and why?

forgot names but the main characters passion is well developed as is his frustration

What three words best describe John Michaels’s performance?

only satisfactory

Did An Adventure at Brownville inspire you to do anything?

look up who ambrose pierce was

Any additional comments?

the story is the best part, but these ones that end with more questions than they answer can be frustrating, but i think that was the point
