Summary
Love should be everything or not at all.
At least that's what I used to think.
I'm 17 now, and back in Malibu. Mama's drying out back East, and here I am living with my father and his new wife, Tiffany Blume, Hollywood harlot. At least that's what Mama calls her. I keep my distance. I just have to bide my time until I turn 18 and go off to college. Away from them; away from Seth Drake.
Seth is living his dream. Studying acting in New York City, landing a recurring role in a hit series, and grabbing my heart one last time until it breaks.
He's got fame. Fortune will likely follow.
I hate him.
I love him.

A great continuation of the series
Andrea Smith has written a wonderful story about first love and the emotional chaos that comes with it. After years of separation, Neely meets Seth again. She wrote him a letter back then and went back to her mother. But now Neely lives with her father in California again. The two of them have grown older but not necessarily wiser. And they remind me of my youth. I enjoyed following Neely on her journey. The story is very heartbreaking at times and I rejoiced and cried with Neely and then there is a spark of hope for a rosy future.
Rachelle Williams is an outstanding narrator who I really enjoy listening to. It is an absolute pleasure to listen to her voice, her pace of narration and her performance. She brings the story to life and I'm already looking forward to the next volume!

I loved the narration of Rachelle Williams
This book follows Neely and Seth. Who are hurting and they are out to hurt each other. Neely is a college also living with her father and stepmother. There is plenty of drama, angst, some heartfelt moments as well as romance

Heartbreak Hotel
Teenage angst at it's best, while confusion reigns. Mounting family drama and surprise discoveries abound, keeping the suspense levels high. Don't miss the next instalment.

Emotional Upheaval
Title: Claimed
Author: Andrea Smith
Format: Audio
Narrator: Rachelle Williams
Genre: YA/NA, second chance (kinda)
Standalone: Nope
Part of a Series: Book 2 (of 4) in Evermore
POV: Neely
Steam Level: Some sexual content but not very graphic (or sexy)
4/5
Claimed is the second book in the Evermore series. It's been a while since I've read/listened to book 1 so I don't remember a lot of details from it. However I just realized that the ebook has a "previously in the series" round up of what happened in book one. Claimed is novella-lengthened and went by really quick. I'm not sure how Andrea Smith will be able to repair Neely and Seth's relationship but there are a few little tidbits that are dropped in to this story that can be seen as preparation for their future. Claimed was almost Neely and Seth's second chance but it got ugly fast and some people won't like Seth's actions in Claimed (I'm not fond of them). Having only Neely's POV makes his betrayal more potent since you don't know what he's thinking or where his mind is at. I look forward to the next two books in this series and to see what happens with Neely and Seth.

Enjoying this series.
I didn't like Seth in this instalment so I'm looking forward to seeing how Neely makes him pay in the next book! Neely is such a lovely character and I really want her to become a force to be reckoned with as she matures.
The narration is very good. I like how the characters are performed.

Oh the drama
I have loved the great big splash of drama in this one as the main characters are dealing with the fall out of the last book. Seeing the push and shove between the 2 main characters is fascinating to watch and even with this I still find myself hoping they can make it in the end.

hurt people hurt
OMG - I can't get enough! this is book 2 in Andrea Smith's Evermore series and really to get the most from this you should really read / listen to book, although I guess this can be read as a stand alone but you will get so much more from it after reading book 1. Both Neely and Seth are hurting and it seems they are out to hurt eachother more and more becasue of it. A little more mature but not the wiser this book was full of heartbreak and yet and I can't help but have hope as it seems neither can get past their love - no matter how hard they may try...
Well written and well narrated, captivating and heartbreaking. This read /listen will have you obsessed even more with not oly the main characters of Neely and Seth but also the secondary characters - mom's, dad's, friends and more play a part in lives and decisions.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
