About this listen

For three years, Rixon Caldwell has been the most lethal gamer online.

He is undefeated in international play, and his stream is viewed by millions of avid fans each and every day.

When an unsigned email arrives inviting him to beta test the newest, most immersive MMO ever, Circuit World, he discounts the offer out of hand. For him, offers like this one are a daily event. He’s a brand, and charity is not his default setting.

When he moves to delete the email, his laptop screen vanishes, replaced with a glowing black and green MS DOS screen with a simple question: Do you accept our challenge? Y/N

Warning: This audiobook contains nontraditional relationships, violence, and a harem.

I really wanted to enjoy this, but found it very bog standard. The story lagged in places and I found the narrator sounded like he was phoning it in. Shame.

the Beta Testing aspects in the computer world was unnecessary and didn't really go anywhere. the world name being Circuiy World doesn't really fit.

mediocre at best

Promising start, and generally enjoyed the performance and story but ultimately the main interest of the story, e.g how the main character ends up in the universe, why, are their other 'real' characters etc never materialises. feels like the first few chapters of a bigger book.
Also, the sex/romance in this book is frankly turgid, maybe a 12 year old might have penned this aspect?

where is the story going?

The story itself was pretty good to be fair. However, the narrative was to slow for this style of scrip. If there is a book 2 in the future I will try it out, but it needs to be executed better.

An interesting twist on a gamers world although this has been done before and through many Anime cartoons and books this book made it quite interesting to learn some of the inner thinking's of a gamer
