Summary

Issy Randall, proud owner of The Cupcake Café, is in love and couldn't be happier. Her new business is thriving and she is surrounded by close friends, even if her cupcake colleagues Pearl and Caroline don't seem quite as upbeat about the upcoming season of snow and merriment. But when her boyfriend, Austin, is scouted for a possible move to New York, Issy is forced to face up to the prospect of a long-distance romance. And when the Christmas rush at the café - with its increased demand for her delectable creations - begins to take its toll, Issy has to decide what she holds most dear. This December, Issy will have to rely on all her reserves of courage, good nature, and cinnamon, to make sure everyone has a merry Christmas, one way or another.…

Indulge yourself and your sweet-toothed friends with Jenny Colgan's new novel, simply bursting with Christmas cupcake recipes and seasonal sugar-fuelled fun.

Festive, tasty, romantic

Jenny Colgan has written another winner while Penelope Rawlins is descriptive, vibrant and eloquent in her reading.
Favourite part was Christmas day and all the emotions that were beautifully described and read by Colgan and Rawlins respectively.

A lovely story

Really enjoyed listening to this. A lovely follow up to the first story. Made me want to dust off my baking stuff and get back in the kitchen.

Lovely, even in summer!

This was a delightful sequel to Meet me at the Cupcake Cafe and just as good, for me. I enjoyed that we got to know some of the more minor characters from the first book better whilst still keeping the personality of the main characters throughout the feel of the book. Both books feel like a romantic comedy film in a book, both books make me eat alot of sweet stuff, both books have some amazing sounding recipes that, as a baker myself, I'll be trying in the future.

EXCELLENT

I really loved listening to both cupcakes books. Was quite Disappointed when this one finished. I really do hope that there will be a third book in the series to find out what everyone is up to. Thank you Jenny for the great story line and characters , and Thank you Penelope Rawlins for the great narration of all the characters. I really loved them all. xx

Second in the series

This book is just as good as the first about the cupcake cafe.

When you start to read you get drawn back into the lives of the characters,

Some you would like to shake or even slap and others you want to hug and protect. Every emotion you can think of rides throughout this book.

Brilliant five stars.
