Summary

Christmas is the world’s biggest festival, yet we barely understand how we got here. Somewhere between Jesus, Dickens and Coke, Christmas became the beloved chaotic present-fest that it currently is. If it’s a turkey, we should really stop stuffing it. So let’s unwrap it instead....

Join journalist Grace Dent, comedian Paul Kerensa and a house-full of special guests for a festive, fun and fact-filled sleigh-ride through the history of our Christmas traditions.

Please note: Father Christmas would like you to know that this series might not be suitable for children.

Empty wittering

I don’t think I quite get the podcast culture. But frankly, if I have to listen to a bunch of people amusing each other with empty wittering, I can go sit in Costa. I’d really rather not.

Dont wait til Christmas to listen to this.

Enjoyable, informative and funny. Easy to listen to, pitched just right-not dumbing down or assuming we are all rocket scientists. The only thing was sometimes the facts were rattled off and I didn't process them all. Never mind, I'll just listen again til I get it all. The beauty of podcasts!

Clearly the wrong season in January.

Failed to get even half way through this book with too much trivia for my liking; especially listening after Christmas.

Fun festive podcast

I enjoyed the little Christmas facts sprinkled throughout the podcast although I wish it went into more depth. Nevertheless, it was an entertaining short podcast.
