Good sleuthing

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

I really enjoyed this short, murder mystery story. I didn’t check that this is book 7 in the series so will definitely going back to listen to the others.

Disappointed

What a disappointment. The story itself isn’t too bad, but the writing is terrible - repeated ‘she/he/I held my pointer finger up’ and ‘she/he/I scratched her/his/my chin’ to the point you get distracted waiting for the next one. (See if you can listen to it now without hearing that all the time!) Shallow characterisation and a fairly thin plot. The narration is poor too - there seems to be three distinct voices - raspy, girly and heroic. Sadly, not only did I buy it once, but forgot I had it and bought it again with a different cover. Won’t be buying any more by this author.

Quick listen

I really enjoy a short cozy mystery, especially by this author. Book is entertaining but not too heavy. It was a great Wilson and I would recommend it

I received this book at no charge and my review is my own.

Series is Nice But Needs Work

Nice 2 hours cozy mystery audio book. The writing still needs work in the dialog and I was surprised that this murder mystery has no violence or bad language because murders are not without some violence and the story is not believable with people being all sweet and nice.

Fun and Cozy!

Meredith Potts has a wonderful way of writing cozy mysteries that pull me in. I so enjoy this series featuring the Daley Buzz with Sabrina and David. This book is both a standalone listen and part of a series. This story has many suspects, and its fun finding the clues. I like how the author combines romance, humor and suspense in this book. Lisa Beacom performed this book wonderfully. I highly recommend this book!

A Very Good Cozy Mystery

I really enjoyed this cozy mystery! The Christmas theme is not over the top. It is a backdrop to a complete murder mystery. The characters are interesting and seem real. Listeners do not have to listen to the other books in the series to understand and appreciate the plot in this audiobook. I would recommend this book to others.

Nice Christmas mystery

In spite of the fact that Jake is still buying up the mom and pop stores in Treasure Cove, he hasn't yet become the victim of murder.
This was a nice story except that a murder occurred.

Fun

Christmas Cookies with a Side of Murder is a fun, clean cozy mystery. This series is great and each can be read as a stand alone. I enjoyed the entertaining storyline and the interesting characters involved in the investigation. The narrator did a wonderful job with her performance.

More fun in Treasure Cove, enjoyed the narration

I have been enjoying this series. Sabrina's amateur detective skills once again came in handy. I loved how things came to her when she was having random, friendly conversations. I also like the continuing relationships throughout the series with her friends and her boyfriend. I will say this was another good one, and again, Lisa Beacom did a wonderful job with all the different people she portrayed. Thank you.

I received this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.

holiday mystery

I enjoyed listening to Christmas Cookies and a side of Murder. The twists were interesting and it was a sweet bit of holiday cheer for me. I did find the He said, She said a little distracting at first. but the story held my interest.
