Summary
Everyone loves a bedtime story. And here are eight of the best, each with a Christmas theme, written by an array of literature's best-known names: Laurie Lee, Charles Dickens and Hans Christian Andersen are just some of the storytellers included in this collection. Amongst those giving voice to these stories are Patricia Routledge, Joss Ackland, Miriam Margolyes, Dame Judi Dench and Richard Briers. Intriguing, funny, poignant and above all entertaining, these eight Christmas stories are the best of BBC Radio 4's 'Book at Bedtime'. beautiful short stories well narrated by all the contributors. I personalty would have liked them a .little longer, but they were made for 15 min. slots on the radio. Great length for children's bedtime stories.

Shall come out every Christmas I think.

One of my favourite Christmas traditions had been to listen to the BBC tape set of these short stories but alas I no longer have means to play it. So it was with great relief to discover the Audible version.
A wonderful selection of Christmas related tales, a great way to celebrate the season.
