Very good. Clear instructions on how to do the lessons. Repeats the words just when you think you have forgotten them and consolidated it in your mind. Enables you to have a short conversation relevant to you and understand the grammar and sentence structure without realising.

Great for learning a new language

I remember a long time ago, Audible allowed you to download the whole of phase 1, 2 or 3 in one credit. They have become more stingy now and you have to download in blocks, costing a lot more. However, Pimsleur courses are absolutely the best language courses I have ever tried. The way it plays a converstation at the beginning which you don't understand at all and then by the end of the lesson you can not only understand it but say it yourself is incredible. The information reallys sticks if you do it once a day like they suggest and I will continue to use Pimsleur from now on. Only negative is knowing which Chinese version you want - cantonese or mandarin. there is no indication without doing research as to where these language differences are spoken in China.

I have never experienced as much progress in so short a space of time before, this Pimsleur method really does work. As an audio-only approach, it is perfect for the tonal language of Cantonese, plus it means you can study anywhere at any time without needing books or stationery. Have already bought the next in the series, really can't recommend this enough.
