Great 2nd book in this series - great characters - well narrated - looking forward to book number 3!!

So whilst this may not seem like an obvious addition to the Bone Secrets series because there are no bones or remains, Alex appears in the support cast of book 1 as a quiet, withdrawn and broken character who has you intrigued as Lacey describes the shadows in his eyes and the demons very obviously riding his back! He is one of Jack's closest friends and here we get every bit of his broken soul, laid out for judgement and for the vultures to finish picking over, the guilt that is crushing him on a daily basis is heartbreaking, leaving him haunted and a shell of the man he was. But he hasn't lost his determination and through those shadows and demons we get glimpses of the man he was, the man he could once again be if he can finally forgive himself.
A very twisted and chilling tale, we have a serial killer with nothing to lose, corruption somewhere within the agency, a vile reporter who thinks she is untouchable and will stop at nothing to get a story and a broken man who has lost everything but finds a new team, a new reason to fight, someone to fight for and for the first time in years, hope for the future.

I am so glad we get Alex's story

Too many characters; I found it difficult to follow the story. I gave up at chapter 5 as I kept 're-reading and rewinding as I was getting lost. It's too constipated and long winded.
