Summary

Here is the beginning of a wonderful and terrifying series by a new writer about a young boy training to be an exorcist.

Thomas Ward is the seventh son of a seventh son and has been apprenticed to the local Spook. The job is hard, the Spook is distant, and many apprentices have failed before Thomas. Somehow, Thomas must learn how to exorcise ghosts, contain witches and bind boggarts. But when he is tricked into freeing Mother Malkin, the most evil witch in the county, the horror begins.

Spook's Apprentice Wannabe!

I read this book whilst on holiday and although tecnically a childrens book i found drawn into the unfolding story immediately. As a lover of fantasy but also guilty of being a lazy reader, i found myself constantly reverting back to this book as soon as i put it down. It really is a delight to read, dark and spooky at the same time. It has the potential to be quite a series and i look forward to finding out just how dark this series becomes. Highly Recommended and all credit to the imagination of the author!
