Summary

The sixth in the series of the classic fantasy tales – The Chronicles of Narnia. This edition is complete and unabridged.

Drawn back to Narnia, Eustace Scrubb and his new friend Jill Pole are sent to rescue a captive prince. In a world where evil weaves a spell, Giants and Marsh-wiggles can be friend or foe, but the stakes are raised when they reach Underland and come face-to-face with a notorious and terrifying opponent.

On 9 December 2005, Andrew (Shrek) Adamson’s live-action film adaptation of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe will be released by Disney, and it is already being hailed as the biggest film franchise of all time, guaranteed to appeal to adults and children across the globe. The second film is already in development.

“When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness.” C S Lewis

Very good reading

Excellent reading of one of the most interesting of the Narnia chronicles. Jeremy Northam does not talk down to the listener, and has the ability to slide into the background so he becomes invisible in the world created by the story - perfect.

I like it

Good book. I have always liked the films and thought they were 10/10, and I can easily say the same for the books, congratulations to both the author, and the narrator

Pleasure to listen to.
Enjoyed the musical accompaniment to this clear storytelling. Accomplished vocal characterisations. Probably my favourite in the series so far.
