Continue the HIVE Story

Second story in the "HIVE" series - where the "bad guys" aren't that bad (apart from the REALLY bad guys!). Great series - highly recommended for teenagers & their parents.

The series takes off

This is the second in the Hive series- and it really takes off in this book. My youngest son (an avid 10-year old reader/listener) tells me this is one of the best in the series. Like all of them, OP contains childish fantasy violence, but is suitable and engaging for children of, I would say, 8 - 11.

Much Better Than Book One

After reading the first book in this series I was ready to give up on this series.
I'm really glad I didn't as this book has a far more interesting, complex and engaging story line. The characters are also more fleshed out, realistic and engaging. Lets hope the series continues to improve!

More of the same

Short and pretty good.

The story is OK, a nice setup for more to comes.

The writing's a little on the simple, formulaic, side but makes it a quick read/listen for those times your not really looking for something heavy.

Good listen

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, i would recommend this audiobook, interesting blend of Harry Potter and Hunger Games.

What did you like best about this story?

The concept is very interesting and a plot that is well thought out

Have you listened to any of Jack Davenport’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I haven't

It is very light hearted and easy to listen to

Any additional comments?

The is an excellent start to the series, I have downloaded the next 2 and have added more to my wish list for latter purchase if they carry on in the same vain or develop.

Great fun

Fast paced and well crafted - even a cliff-hanger for the next in series. Loved it!
