Truly addictive listening - I want book 2!!
I hadn't read the book before listening to this story, and boy did that make this even more addictive! The adventures of Percy and his friends will keep you on the edge of your seat, cheering them on and both laughing and crying with them. There are moments you may literally find yourself shouting at Percy for being a doofus - he's not the brightest of lads! - and if, like me, you love Ancient Greece then you'll really enjoy seeing characters from all the myths and legends appear. Truly addictive listening that I'd highly recommend to anyone, from young adult upwards, and I can't wait to read (or listen to!) more of Percy's adventures!

Awesome but took awhile to grow on me.
at first I didn't really like the reader's voice, I struggled to understand the sutible differences in the characters voices, but after awhile Jesse Bernsteins voice grew on me and I loved the story.

You can really get lost in a new world here and it is also educational and teaches you about Greek myths and legends and ancient culture as well as a hint of sci-fi

Great for bribing my son
Both my son and I really enjoyed this series. It was action packed enough to keep my son interested for all of a 4 hour car journey - though he was really keen to leave and come home. We liked the twist that Percy is only dyslexic because he's a demi god and that Annabeth is the best fighter.

Everything it says on the tin
Huge history buff and a massive mythology fan. Although I think the book rushes through a lot of complex stories, it certainly keeps the reader entertained and I loved reading this alone and with my class at school.

Very easy and fun to listen to
I really am pleased I listened to this. As an adult I thought maybe it would be too childish for me but I really did like listening. It felt really short because I was enjoying it so much. The narrator was a great choice too.
