"The Beginning of the Armadillos" is a tale that focuses on two days in the lives of three creatures "who lived on the banks of the turbid Amazon": Stickly-Prickly the hedgehog, Slow-and-Solid the tortoise, and Painted Jaguar.
Would you consider the audio edition of The Beginning of the Armadillos to be better than the print version?
Yes I would. I love listening to audiobooks and think this narration brings this classic story to life.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Beginning of the Armadillos?
I loved the way that Stickly-Prickly the hedgehog and Slow-and-Solid the tortoise, managed to confuse the poor young Painted Jaguar.
What does Phillip J. Mather bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Phillip has a wonderful voice to listen to and I think his narrations of the 'Just So' stories really compliment them.
Any additional comments?
A real classic beautifully narrated.
