Great

Good to hear the stories of childhood & very apt at this time of great danger for all the animals within the story. Why am I not surprised that poor Kaa the snake, who was only ever a friend to Mowgli, got cast as a villain by Disney!

Brilliant recording of great classic

I loved listening to this audiobook. It caught my attention from start to finish, and I was sad when it came to an end. First class dramatisation of a wonderful story. Given that I enjoyed the story so much That I shall listen to it again and read the original stories on Kindle. Thank you Audible for making my day with this fine recording.

Pretty good but ...

... it's amazing how many dramatisations fall into the most obvious trap - in this case, making Mowgli have an 'Indian' accent but the other characters have South London drawls or 'cod' Cockney accents.

Apart from that, a wonderful listen.

Refreshingly different from my usual reads and beautifully performed.

I had never read the jungle book but felt that I knew it after the cartoons etc. However, the book way exceeded my expectations. It is beautifully written and evokes both the jungle and the period in which it was set.
The production is excellent and very entertaining.
A great read and, of course, suitable for all the family. It would be wonderful for a long family car trip.
