Summary

For new girl Darrell Rivers, there are friends to be made, pranks to be played and fun to be had at Malory Towers in Enid Blyton's best-loved boarding school series.

In audiobook nine, Susan's in charge of the winter concert, but new teacher Miss Tallant won't let her make any decisions. When Miss interferes in a midnight feast, the girls realise that there's a spy in their midst. Expect more drama at Malory Towers!

I'm not entirely sure on my verdict

I feel the book has quite a plain plot, Olive being bad, and so on. Again, the play mimics the play Darrel performed in the fifth form. Although, I like Slyvia, who was unfortunately one of the only original characters, along with Bonnie. I liked the plot twist with Miss Talent but it was quite disappointing when Olive just abruptly became nice. In reality, people, if they were to get kinder or undergo any form of development, it would be gradually and under a fairly long space of time. Once again, Esther has a lovely, pleasant voice. The story itself, being the words an such, was actually very pleasant as well.

How the girls got the better of miss talent

I like how Olive turned into such a nice girl. The play sounded really good, I wish I saw it!

Fair story, well narrated

It is fair story, one of the characters takes too long to develop and is a little boring.
