Summary

Since its publication in 1952, Charlotte's Web has become one of America's best-loved children's books. For fifty years, this timeless tale of how a little girl named Fern, with the help of a friendly spider, saved her pig Wilbur from the usual fate of nice fat little pigs has continued to warm the hearts of readers everywhere.

Now this classic, a 1953 Newbery Honor book, comes to life in a delightful unabridged recording, read lovingly by the author himself.

Cute

I didn't realise this was such a short book,. but it makes sense to be. I liked it a lot, even though it is quite sad. but it's a clever story

subtlety poweful

I was recommended to read this book by a good friend. The story never loses its vivid beauty and the innocence of childhood. Loved it, can't wait to read it with my son.

Fantastic listen!

I have not heard this story since I was a child and listening to it as a now 33 year old, it brought back fond memories. I also picked out parts which mean a lot more to me this time round and reminded me just how much we can learn as adults from the tales told to children.
