No PDF, Not an audio book

The content is great but the audio constantly references tables/figures that are not viewable. It’s like someone reading a textbook but you can’t see the pics. The chapter on understanding notation is super awkward without a visual reference. Pretty disappointed. Not for beginner chess players.

Do you have a chessboard in front of you?

It's very simple. Do you have a chessboard in front of you? If you do, then you better make sure you can follow chess notation to a "T" for almost all of the examples.

Do you not have a chessboard in front of you? No? Do not buy this audiobook. Buy the actual book in print or kindle, because this is worthless without visual aid.

Best trick ever

The book covers everything you need to know to improve your chess playing. Three best recommendations are 1) Practice. 2) Review annotated chess games. 3)Review your own games. You are an idiot if you do not purchase this book.
Now u must buy this book and learn the tricks.

Not great without a copy of the book

This could be (and probably is) a great book on chess. But the audible format does not fit for this book unless you have an eidetic memory and can both visualize the board and listen to and remember strings of algebraic chess moves being given out. If you (as I do) listen while driving in the car, you will not be able to follow the discussion of the moves. I will buy this book in physical format so that I can follow along.

A must!!

Each chapter has at least a dozen exercises to play out with explanations. It's a good book to introduce a young mind to the beauty of Chess, and might even lead to a career in international tournament play. Recommended.
