Most poker books and training videos on tournaments and Sit 'n Gos are by professional poker players, who play at the highest stakes. Whereas you can learn a lot from studying them, they won't always be as useful to you when you're playing at the low stakes. Playing low-stakes games against beginning and recreational players requires a whole different strategy and approach than playing high-stakes games against the best of the best.

There is one particular skill I’ll teach you, as you'll find in this book, that’ll help you play and win chess games like a professional. Think ahead of the time: The master player thinks five to 10 moves ahead; the amateur just thinks one to two moves ahead. Once you know what is going to happen, you can get well-prepared for the outcome. And that works in chess, even if you don’t have any playing experience.

Enlightening book!

Summary
Most people claim to know how to play chess, yet all they do is move around a few pieces on the board with no strategy in mind.... This is where my book comes in handy. Without any complex terminology that other self-proclaimed chess experts preach, I'm going to show you how I annihilate my opponents 99 percent of the time. Whether you're looking to play some casual games with your friends or you're looking to step things up a notch and compete in a local league, these chess tactics, openers, and strategies will give you the competitive advantage you need to win.

Unlistenable
This is a disaster.
I have listened to the first chapter an frankly to the beginner this is unlistenable.
The book refers to classic openings defences and attacks with code referenced moves. The delivery of the content is so fast that it is beyond comprehension.
Furthermore the narrator has been carefully selected to provide a very uneasy tone.
Even if I could understand the content I would not be capable of withstanding the narration at this time for anywhere near 6hrs......
Disappointing and a waste of money.

There are no graphics
This is entirely audio and for a beginner it doesn't work for me to have the opening moves described, and at a slightly too fast pace, without providing any visual diagrams. I don't know why but I expected a few pages of visuals to be included. Silly me to purchase a audio chess book. Live and learn, at least it was only $4.00.

if the book is designed for begginers. . . why start with all the technical terms' I wish they would have assumed we were below novice. Chess is a difficult game to begin .
