Summary
Jack's a retired cop from New York, seeking the simple life in Cherringham. Sarah's a Web designer who's moved back to the village to find herself. But their lives are anything but quiet as the two team up to solve Cherringham's criminal mysteries. This compilation contains episodes 16 - 18:
The Last Puzzle:
When amiable old village eccentric Quentin Andrews dies, the good folk of Cherringham are astonished at the crowd that turns up to his funeral. But even more astonished are the beneficiaries of his will: Quentin has left a veritable fortune to whomever is the first who can solve an intricate 'Cherringham crossword'. That puzzle is only the first of many that Jack and Sarah will uncover as they follow the treasure hunt for clues and learn the truth about who Quentin Andrews really was. And the biggest mystery of them all... was he - in fact - murdered?
Final Cut:
When a big movie production comes to Cherringham, complete with lords, ladies, and flashing swords, the whole village is abuzz with excitement. But when a series of dangerous accidents threatens the life of the young lead, Zoe Harding, Sarah and Jack get involved. Are these really accidents? Or could they be something more sinister - even deadly? Who is trying to destroy the career of the beautiful young star - and why?
The Vanishing Tourist:
When an American tourist goes missing in Cherringham, the local police don't see reason for concern - people often wander away from such tours. But when that tourist's sister shows up from New York, desperately looking for answers, Jack and Sarah become convinced there's more to the disappearance than meets the eye. Soon, they are entangled in a mystery with a secret history of betrayal, sacrifice, dishonour... and death.
Set in the sleepy English village of Cherringham, the detective series brings together an unlikely sleuthing duo: English web designer Sarah and American ex-cop Jack. Thrilling and deadly - but with a spot of tea - it's like Rosamunde Pilcher meets Inspector Barnaby.
Co-authors Neil Richards (based in the UK) and Matthew Costello (based in the US), have been writing together since the mid 90's, creating content and working on projects for the BBC, Disney Channel, Sony, ABC, Eidos, and Nintendo to name but a few. Their transatlantic collaboration has underpinned scores of TV drama scripts, computer games, radio shows, and - most recently - the successful crime fiction series Cherringham. The narrator of the audiobook, Neil Dudgeon, has been in many British television programmes including the roles of "DCI John Barnaby" in "Midsomer Murders" and "Jim Riley" in "The Life of Riley".

Great listen
Just like all the previous sets in the Cherringham series, these three stories are very good. It is amazing how whilst all the stories are about the same place and main characters, they are all very different. They are well crafted and realistic, apart from the fact all these deaths and mysteries happen in the same town! And are constructed in the style of Agatha Christie. As always Mr Dudgeons narration is brilliantly done. His New York accent is particularly good and all the different characters are distinguishable. He is as good to listen to as the great Hugh Frasier in my opinion. These are another three great who dunnits that keep you guessing until very near the end and I look forward to buying all the others in the series as and when they are translated into English

Great stories combined
Absolutely love listening to the exploits of Jack and Sarah, the description of Cherringham and the surrounding areas. I used to live in the Cotswolds and parts of it I miss greatly. During bouts of illness, this series of Cherringham keeps my spirits up and brings back memories.
I would highly recommend this and look forward to hearing more Jack and Sarah

More of the same.
However, the same is good. My daughter and I really enjoy listening together to this series and trying (usually unsuccessfully) to solve the mystery before 'all is revealed'. Lighthearted (despite the occasional foul deed) and 'innocent'. My only complaint would be that the authors could do with a good Editor...there have been a number of occasions where days were mixed-up (i.e., Sarah looking forward to the following day - a Sunday - only for it to morph into a normal working day with everyone at work?) but these are minor complaints. The Narrator is first class and really adds to the overall pleasure of a lovely series.

very easy to listen to
I love listening to these books, they are so easy to pick up and put down, if you get my meaning lol. I get these that are three books in one, it just makes you think you've got the wrong language at first as a gentleman starts talking in German but I have a feeling he's just introducing audible, I don't speak German.
I like Neil Dudgeon as a actor so that makes it easier to listen to, he does all the voices. The main characters are Jack, a retired NYPD detective now living on a barge in Cherringham with his dog, Riley. And Sarah, a divorced mum of two teenagers with her own small business. As the books progress you get to know more characters and I like that.
As I can't hold a book anymore, I love having the credits on Audible and looking through choosing more and more books 😊

Terrific series.
I’m really loving this series. Neil Dudgeon’s narration is spot on. The mysteries are really intriguing and I love the interaction between the two lead characters is brilliant. Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the tales.

Everything we enjoyed plus more elaborate plots.
If you like uncomplicated murder mysteries solved by characters that grow on you with each short story, garnished with a bit of white humour, this series is for you. I have to say I found the plots in these three stories more original and engaging, and I really appreciated the fact that they are properly written by what seems like experienced writers. These days a well-crafted paragraph, a balanced description of the right length or a scene free of continuity errors are not as easy to come by as one would wish.
