"When people ask me why I did it, I tell them, 'I had to'. When they ask me how I did it, I just smile." (Clair Johnson)
Amid family tragedy, Clair Johnson relocates to the small, historic town of Abingdon, Virginia. Here, she meets and marries the man of her dreams. As a means of coping with the "accident" which claimed the lives of her parents, Clair turns to the sport of running. It is just off the trail on which she runs that Clair is divinely led to a place she names: "Hope".
Struggling to overcome unforgiveness, bitterness, and resentment, Clair's world is further shaken by way of a terminal diagnosis - cancer. Refusing to bow in defeat, Clair decides to undertake a task few would dare - she would run a marathon!
With her best friend and loving husband by her side, Chasing Hope tells a story of faith, determination, love, and legacy. This book will inspire those who may be standing on the threshold of giving up. It will stir an inner drive to pursue one's best self, today.
