Summary

From sizzling storyteller Kylie Scott comes Chaser - an audiobook from the Dive Bar series.

Given his well-earned bad boy reputation, Eric is having a tough time scoring. When single Jean moves to town, she seems heaven-sent by the sex gods. Only problem is, she not only wants nothing to do with him, but it turns out that she’s pregnant.

Starting over in a small town, Jean is determined to turn her wild lifestyle around and be the kind of mother she always wished she’d had. Since local bar owner and all-around hottie, Eric Collins, is now determined to steer clear of her pregnant self, it should be easy. When she goes into labor during a snow storm and her car slides on some ice, it’s Eric who comes to the rescue.

There seems to be a bond between them now, but is it enough? And can Eric give up his manwhore ways to be the man Jean needs? Find out in this steamy audiobook!

Lovely story

It was great hearing this story from Eric’s view especially with how he is depicted in the previous books. Great story.

Decent end to the series.

I really enjoyed this. Loved the narrator. There wasnt too much conflict and it had a decent amount of smutty times.

I need Andy Arndt to narrate this story!

I love Kylie Scotts'd books and have always enjoyed the story and humor and leaves me drooling for more. The story was good but I didn't like the narrator, his voice brought nothing to the book. I def missed Andy Arndt!

Not my favorite

If you could sum up Chaser in three words, what would they be?

Kinda slow burn. Good but not the chemistry of the others in this series.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The male leads thoughts......do guys really think like that?

Would you listen to another book narrated by Will Damron?

Yes, but a different series that I have not been spoiled by the previous narrator.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. needed breaks as it did not keep me gripped.

Any additional comments?

OK book.

What?

I usually love Kylie Scott. She is one of those authors whom I look forward to seeing on the new release list...but this book lacked depth and detail. I’m not giving up just yet but I’m definitely disappointed in this latest release.

Disappointed

I really like Kylie Scott, so I was pretty disappointed with this. I actually returned it after only a couple of hours in because it was so bad. I have listened to the others in the series and enjoyed them, but after trying really hard to like Eric for two hours, I gave up. He was shallow and immature and not too bright. I just couldn’t root for him. And the male narrator was a little too feminine sounding for my preference; I guess I prefer manly men to sound a little more masculine. Just my two cents worth.

Refreshing Narration!

Oh, my god, my heart is a puddle on the floor… No freaking joke.

Eric is the sweetest most wonderful character I can’t even with how sweet he is. I love that he falls and doesn’t even notice until he has fallen and it wasn’t even for Jean. ;)

Though he does fall for Jean too, just a little later.

His ex/friend is kind of a …… insert a bad word. I totally get why he never spoke up for himself he felt all the guilt but what about all the people around when she was being like that. I wanted to shake my fist!

Jean’s parents were a real trip, and not in a good way… Just saying.

REFRESHING narration!! Don’t get me wrong I love Andi but it was nice to hear someone else narrate a Kylie Scott book I hope we get more new narrators. :)

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Who wrote this? Certainly not Kylie Scott

I fell in love with Kylie Scott's writing from the 1st book I read of hers. I loved it so much I tried the Rock'n'roll series. Man- those were some HOT steamy books! (wink-wink) Again, loved it so much, after I finished the last one available, I was sad! Bummed and missing these amazing characters I'd grown to know and love, I wanted more. The synopsis of The Dive Bar series kinda seem like it would be AS good, but desperate, I gave the 1st one a chance. Not bad! Cute story, hot sex scenes. So everything was going a long good until THIS book! First of all, the male narrator was horrible. Every time he impersonated a female character, I cringed. They shod have had the regular female narrator (sorry forgetting her name) for all the other Scott books, narrate the female characters and let this ya-hoo read the male characters. He was so dry, flat and monotone it ruined the whole book. I wish I had read the reviews for this book before buying it! I would've saved myself a credit! NOT happy with this at all! But again, every other book of Scotts is read by a female so I just assumed that this would be too! Spoiler alert- not reading this book after reading all the others in the series will not cause you to miss anything. As in most stories, guy gets guy and everyone lives happily ever after!

Narration stinks

The story was good, but the narrators tone is boring and drones onto the point you lose the storyline.

performance not so good

The story was good, I enjoy how the author shows details on each individual.
The performance of the book wasn't in all what you would expect. The way Eric is described and the voice that was chosen doesn't go together. When you picture a hot, tall, muscular guy with long hair, a male feminine voice doesn't seem to go very well. Took a while to get use to the voice so I could finish the book.
