Delightful collection

This is a wonderful collection. Some of the stories feature the characters well known from Aird's novels, but some have quite different characters and quite different periods.

A few of the plots are obvious, but Aird's characters and her senses of place are always wonderful.

Great characters!!

I enjoy listening to this type of English Detective stories. They are funny and not gross...I listen as I have my breakfast while working from home. I'm entertained as I do my work g and lonely job. My favorite character is Constable Crosby. His way of getting the job done is so different from his boss. Sometimes a word from Crosby will trigger a memory in Sloan, which solves the crime. I've heard most of the books in this series. I'm waiting g for the last 5 to be release. In the meantime I will re-read listen to the other books.
