Rufius has spent the last fifteen years, believing he was a Vixlingr—a changeling.
Raised in Jorvik by a Viking blacksmith, his life is destined for servitude until the day he discovers a sword that would change his future.
A prequel to the best selling Infinity Engines series, Changeling explores the beginnings of the Oblivion Order, when the past was a dangerous place for time travellers, when lawlessness and chaos overshadowed the continuum.
Follow the adventures of Rufius Westinghouse as he journeys through the centuries, battling pirates, druids, witches and the nagging doubt that he doesn't belong.©2019 Andrew Hastie (P)2025 W.F. Howes Ltd.

A Rufius Westinghouse origin story. Some of the later books in the series felt rushed and too quick given the level of detail in earlier books. This book redeems, for want if a better word, the entire series.
I hope all of the key characters get their woven origin stories.
Thoroughly enjoyable listen.
Rupert Degas delivers a perfect performance of this installment.
