Summary

It's not you; it's your schedule. Does it sound like magic? It's not. We've all heard of circadian rhythms - those biological processes that give us jet lag and make us night owls or early birds.

But few of us know just how profoundly these diurnal patterns affect our overall health. Bad habits - like skipping meals, squeezing in workouts, working late into the night and then trying to catch up on sleep during the weekend - disrupt our natural cycles. A growing body of research on chronobiology reveals just how sensitive the human body is to these rhythms all the way down to the genetic level.

Our clock genes control more than we realize, and small changes can make the difference between battling our bodies and effortlessly managing weight, sleep, stress, inflammation, and more. Marrying ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with the latest scientific research, this holistic step-by-step 30-day plan provides the tools - and the schedule - you need to transform your life.

loved it. Going to make my son read this next .

I'm already using so many things from this book. I cannot wait to see results in 30 days from now. My sleep has already got better doing the three meals a day and eating at the proper times. I'm super excited for my future health. And to teach my 13 year old son more about his own health and why it's so important to eat at the right times.

Helped to change my life in a positive way

This is actually a very good book. I don’t know why there aren’t more people read it.

I started to change my schedules the next day after I started to listen to it, and got good results almost immediately after. However, it seems that I slipped back a little to my old habit, and I will need to remind myself again an again to get me back to the rhythm of the cycles.

Bought a hard copy for my kids after I listened to it since they don’t listen to audiobooks.

Great advice!

I loved reading all of this, rather listening to it. It all makes sense to me and I'll try it out.

some interesting ideas

overall I like the concepts of this book. I think it would've been better in written form, rather than audio. It lost my interest a couple of times. But I will probably listen again some time. I could see how a lot of it could be beneficial to a lot of people

Thoroughly Enjoyed !!!

The narrator was perfect! One of the best i’ve heard in a long while! The content of the book was very good as well. It incorporated modern scientific research with ancient ayurvedic practices seamlessly. I highly recommend this book and will be buying the hardcopy for quick future reference.

absolute hogwash

circadian rhythms, okay get to bed at a decent time, okay don't eat after dark, okay the rest of it just a gigantic laundry list of foods that are opinions of what you should and shouldn't eat according to the temperature. A sixth grader has a better idea of actual healthy eating than this book with its gigantic laundry list of nonsense move on
