Summary

253 steps to becoming an anti-it girl.

Funny woman, Instagram star and international comedy sensation Celeste Barber's Challenge Accepted! is a raucous, hilarious and outspoken guide to life, unwanted gas and how to rock a sexy scar.

Part memoir, part comedy routine, part advice manual, Challenge Accepted! is Celeste at her best, revealing her secrets to love, friendship, family and marriage (oh hai, #hothusband) and how to deal with life's many challenges: why she checks the bath for sharks, how Nutella quite literally shaped who she is as a woman and why being famous on Instagram is like being rich in Monopoly. It's real, like totally, really real.

Really brought me back

This book was soooo enjoyable. I got so into it, I'd walk around in public listening to my headphones laughing out loud, or commenting out loud to what Celeste was saying. Most notably I once responded to whatever was happening in the book by saying "that's not normal" out loud, while on my commute to work in the middle of London. Not normal indeed! 😁
Having lived in New Zealand since my teenage years, the chapters about growing up were reeeeally relatable - I miss cheesymite scrolls!
Anyway, if you want a laugh and a reminder to tell whatever entity is telling you to feel bad about yourself to f* off, then I recommend this book! (the obvious Audible bonus of course is hearing it all in Celeste's awesome Australian accent) Great stuff!

Lived up to all of my expectations

I love Celeste Barber and she never fails to make me laugh. I couldn't wait to listen to this book and I was not disappointed. It made me laugh out loud and was really entertaining. I got through it far too quickly for my liking. I would highly recommend this. A great insight and engaging listen.

animated

I pick a lot of books based on who narrated it. I love good animated she is in telling her story. could have done with less swearing but it is the territory. Worth a listen.

I love you Gurl.

She is honest, manic and hilarious. Not your stereotypical biography as such but she doing her thing her way.

Please don’t ever change Celeste.

THATS IT??

I wished it was longer. Loved it! Celeste was raw, funny clever and honest. She talks about her life, hot husband and probably too much about surf. Yes we know who Ellen is without the lastname.

Was fun and light mostly. Some dark chapters

The book is mostly light and fun. Celeste is funny and she tells a few stories about her upbringing that are hilarious. Her dad being a lovable character throughout.

It’s an enjoyable book if you are a fan, but there won’t be much content you don’t know about if you have followed Celeste’s career.

Some parts were unexpected as they lightly go into Celeste’s “ me too” and “ mean girls” incidents in her life, which of course were hard to listen to, because they are sad. They were also kind of predictable ( again, sadly. She’s a woman in show business).

Overall a good light read. Please read more reviews as this is only my opinion.
