Summary

The new Commandant of the Marine Corps is worried. Not only is he dealing with a shrinking service, a tightening budget, and a war-weary nation, he's also just found out that there's an even bigger threat, a mounting menace that could tear the mighty Marine Corps apart from all sides. The Commandant calls on Cal Stokes and his team at the Jefferson Group to root out the threat. But is it too late?

Kept my interest

From the beginning the book was on target. The characters were well developed and the action was fast-paced. Tied this book up at the end but left it ready for the next adventure. Very entertaining listen!

NOT COOPER’S BEST

We love his books, ordinarily. However the end game was a little unbelievable. CAUTION SPOILER. Why in the world would Cal and his crew make some kind of game out of it. It offered nothing for the overall story. And the second thing is he must have used “chuckle” a hundred times.

We will get his next book and see if he can get back to a more realistic story.
