Once a sworn enemy of all monsters, Anita is now the human consort of both Jean-Claude, the Master Vampire, and Micah, the leopard shapeshifter. Not quite as human as she once was, she is consumed by both their hungers – desires that must be sated time and time again.

And when a centuries-old vampire targets Jean-Claude and his clan, Anita finds herself tested as never before – needing all the dark forces her passion can muster to save the ones she loves the most …

Eleştirmen yorumları

'In this Anita Blake vampire book, Blake is being drawn further into the world of the vampires at a time when there is a great conflict between those she loves and their ancestors, who seek to exert more and more control. Cynthia Holloway makes Blake's characters vivid and alive.' (AudioFile)

I've read all of the Anita Blake books in the past, and was thoroughly enjoying the series in audiobook format. Unfortunately with the change of narrator, I've not enjoyed this book. You would think the new narrator would check how things were pronounced in the previous books but I'm hearing lots of different pronunciations and it's very frustrating. I'm making it feel like a slog to get through.

Sad about narrator change
