For a week, Brek Trigan has left behind the frigid nights and icy days of life on the mining colony he calls home. He's on holiday to his ancestral planet, and he finds a sparkling, welcoming world of riches and warmth.

But the longer he remains, the more he begins to see cracks in the glistening façade. When civil unrest erupts, Brek's plans for a peaceful getaway are dashed. Suddenly he's drawn into a conflict that will change the fate of his people, whether he wants to be or not.

This was different to what I normally listen to but i really enjoyed it, it is well written and the story setting is an interesting one.
The narrator takes a little getting used to, but its fine after 10 mins,
The only reason I have marked this down slightly is that it is so short but once you get onto books 2 & 3 things really get going and make it worth while.

Please note that I was given a free copy of this audiobook to provide a non-biased review

I'm not sure if I liked this 1st book in the serise.
I couldn't really get into it, it didn't grab my full attention. totally honesty I didn't get what the story was all about. it does end on a cliff hanger.
The narration is really good.

please remember this is only my opinion.
