Summary
First the large, powerful feline discovers that, through some strange, inexplicable phenomenon, he now has the ability to understand human language. Then he discovers he can speak it as well! It’s a nightmare for a cat who’d prefer to sleep the day away carefree, but Joe can handle it. That is, until he has the misfortune to witness a murder in the alley behind Jolly’s Deli - and worse, to be seen witnessing it. With all of his nine lives suddenly at risk, Joe’s got no choice but to get to the bottom of the heinous crime - because his mouse-hunting days are over for good unless he can help bring a killer to justice.

Shame about the accent
Loved this but clearly the narrator has no clue as to the difference between an Irish and Welsh accent!!!

Sup ring twist
Well written, very unusual twist, absorbing and intriguing read. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

What A Hoot!
I'm definitely not the type of person that reads about cat detectives but my curiosity got the best of me!
My cheeks hurt from laughing and grinning like a loon while listening to this book.
The author has a marvelous mind and a great understanding of cat behaviour. I can't wait to listen to the entire series!
Side Note: There are a few grammar errors which I almost removed 1 star for but since I couldn't prove whether it was the writer's or narrator mistake I over looked it!

Meow
Slow start but once it got going was a very good story and took a bit of time to figure out what’s what.

purrrrfect!
Amazing story, from cats point of view. I loved the descriptions of how cats move and behave, and could see them in my minds eye. The only negative was reference to cats drinking milk - not goid for them! Great, fun listen

Compelling
An interesting take on the concept of animagi, and a great mystery novel to boot. Have downloaded the whole series I look forward to reading them.
I find the narrator relaxing to listen to. They read well.

Excellent!
A wonderful story of the mysterious world of cats and murder, that weaves beautifully with the human lives of the people living in Molena Point.

Quirky
Enjoyed the quirky storyline but someone should tell the author that the past tense of "wake" is "woke" & not "waked." The narrator's Welsh accent was absolutely appalling. As a professional narrator I would have expected her to have done her research

Feline(?) heroes
I thoroughly enjoyed this book; it is definitely not what I had expected. It was hard going, to begin with and I stuck with it. Then I couldn’t stop listening. Very nice to listen to a fresh take on cats.

Brilliant!
i clicked on this as i'd run out of credits but was a bit dubious.
I was hooked almost immediately. Not at all predictable as i had feared and wonderfully read. Easy to listen too although my anxiety for cats when in danger far outweighs that for human characters :-D
