Summary

Jake F---king Castle.

When he walks into a room, he owns it. He consumes my very breath and melts my delicate little panties. From the moment he set eyes on me, he decided I was his. No one - not even my brother, Nix - was going to tell him otherwise. It doesn't matter that Nix is President of the Kings MC Club. Jake wants what he wants, and he'll set out to get it, whatever the cost.

Jake may be an arrogant asshole, but there's no denying the hold he has over me. His fierce, carnal need to make me his, and his alone, is a snare I can't escape. And truth be told, I don't want to. But when my life becomes threatened, Jake Castle is the only man my brother trusts to protect me. He knows Jake will do anything to keep me safe. Anything.

Contains mature themes.

Purchased the next book straight away

Great, loved it, Castle of kings was exactly what I'd hoped for after reading the blurb.

Jake is the hot alpha bossy type of MC character who sets his sights on the president's sister Liz who has just returned home after a few years away finishing nursing school.
Liz has grown up in the MC, she's the type of woman who can hold her own, stand on her own two feet and she knows Jake's type, arrogant, flirtatious, and a man whore.

Thing is, with Jake it's insta lust, he loves Liz's sass, he doesn't give up and he's determined to make her his.

A good mixture of club drama, angst, danger, and hotness. Loved the characters. Castle of kings was everything I expect to find in an MC romance.

Told in first person dual pov.

Not enough Troy Duran

I've heard this story line before.
I'm a woman listening to a MC club story, so. I don't understand the reasoning for having a woman narrate almost 80% of this story.
Dumb.

Just Peachy!!!

I was pleasantly surprised by this MC Romance. This was a first time listen for me by this author and I am looking forward to the rest of the series. I hope we don't have to wait long.

Troy Duran was a recent find for me and I really have enjoyed the way he gives life to each character. it helps that his voice was made for loving. I would have enjoyed the narrative more had he done the male voice when Peach is talking because Jillian Macie's man voice is not attractive. However Jillian portrays Peach to perfection well the womans voices that is.

I've not listened to many MC Romances. Seriously my personal Audible library of nearly 900 books there are less than ten. I took a chance and I'm glad I did.

worth a credit? Sure it is. Kept me distracted and entertained for hours. Besides what's better than hot sex, love, beautiful men & women and HEA.

Enjoy!

Jake and Liz

I read this book a long time ago and enjoyed it. But listening to it kicked up my feelings, I love this story. It’s a wild, crazy, and entertaining journey to go on with Liz and Jake. I absolutely loved everything about this book.

..

I feel this was a very good book until the ending. It felt like the ending was rushed and I wished there would have been more to their story of what's to come next.

Weak narration, MC life

Jillian Macie's male voices are... not good. And Australian accent? Lord, please don't. And when she was changing between Dylan and Liz, suddenly Liz had a heavy twang leftover from Dylan's accent. This was not her best performance.

There's little Troy Duran here. It would have completely turned this around to have him do the male voices in Jillian's chapters.

As far as the story... this was a weird MC. How did Jake get away with the wrong he did to Nix? In a normal MC, all Nix would have had to do was say Liz was off limits, Prez's word is law. And Nix clearly hates Jske, so why didn't he put his foot down? These brothers don't have each other's back at all. And how is Liz given so many chances to overhear critical information? The behaviors were weird and uncharacteristic.

I kinda regret using my credit.

Jake & Peach

The danger, drama, madness, craziness are very present in this book as well as love, desire, friendship, loyalty. Let’s just say that I want to do wicked things with Jake…
Oh Betty you are amazing. I can’t wait to listen to more of this series!

Don't bother

The narration is mainly her. There is zero story line. If all you want is sex with no character development, then this is your book.
if I could, I would get my credit back.

Bad narrator

I listen to a lot of auto books and don’t usually write reviews. I just assign stars. There have been some books that I have had narrators that’ I haven’t heard before and had to listen to for awhile to give them a chance, however I will be returning this book. This narrator has a voice that is compatible with the story line of these novels. Too bad, I was looking forward to checking out this author.
