Summary

Decisamente uno strano invito a cena quello che ha ricevuto Poirot. Il suo anfitrione, il mefistofelico Schaitana, ha infatti promesso al celebre investigatore di mostrargli la più strana delle sue collezioni: quella di criminali che hanno commesso un delitto e non sono mai stati scoperti.

Poirot, incuriosito, si reca al ricevimento con un funesto presentimento e ben presto scopre che la sua sensazione era ben motivata. Infatti, mentre gli invitati, tra i quali altri tre celebri cacciatori di delitti, sono impegnati in una partita a bridge, qualcuno pugnala a morte l'eccentrico padrone di casa.

Il caso si presenta subito difficile da risolvere, il colpevole senza dubbio si nasconde tra gli ospiti, ma tutti sembrano al di sopra di ogni sospetto, eppure almeno uno di loro, in passato, ha già ucciso.

Lively and entertainment performance of a classic

I was a bit sceptical about getting another Italian Agatha Christie audiobook after having listened to a few which were more likely someone reading out than a performance. However I really enjoyed this one where all the characters are voiced distinctly down to minor ones with a touch of humour at times that is keeping with the tone and themes of the novel
