This book was cringe in the same type of way that id feel if a man irl tried talking to me the way a book boyfriend does. Every time Nico spoke I threw up a little in my mouth. [SPOILER] When he was in a coma and couldn't speak, it was my favourite part of the book.

Im not sure if there's ever been a mafia romance mmc who has ever cringed me out like Niko does😭 he really just gave me the ick and I couldn't take him seriously at all. Not to mention he's totally quite noncey lmao, the first 14 or so chapters, the fmc is 14, whilst he is 24? And then the next few she's 16, and he's weird about her from the start, but when she's 16 he says he feels a spark????? WHAT???? then he stays away for a year, and then doesn't kiss her properly until she's 20 because, and i quote "i haven't touched you because I felt guilty about your age"
FUCK OFFFFFF NONCE!!! Also, even when she was 20+, he was constantly talking about how 'innocent' she was. The whole thing just felt...off.

Also, the whole thing about her guard, Vic, who has been with her p much her whole life, being in love with her? Do me a favour and stfu, this book is like a poorly written fanfiction but without all the fun. Even the smut gave me shudders.

I liked the fmc's dad tho, rip
