About this listen
But the Senate's new military commander wishes only to wipe out the Canim 'scourge', and would also kill Aleran slaves that have sought freedom with these aggressors.
Tavi must reconcile Aleran and Canim, slavemaster and slave, Citizen and Proletarian, if an alliance is to be forced. And he must lead his Legion in defiance of the law, against both friend and enemy - before the greatest army of all launches its assault.
A note for the listener: the previous audiobook narration contained sound effects (including trumpets) these have since been removed from the recording. If you already own this title in audio, please re-download the audiobook to your device.©2007 Jim Butcher

A Fantastic Series

Having read the dresden files I was initially disappointed but have persevered and think this is the best one so far.
Initially I found the narrator irritating at times, over the top dramatic but she has grown on me!
I think the female/male relationships are a bit Mills & Boonish but the story lines although often predictable have some interesting twists & turns. It's a comfortable listen, a bit like putting on your favourite slippers.
