Summary

Amanda Harper's life has changed a lot in the few weeks since she met Tempest Michaels.
Working out her notice period in Kent Police, she has already taken a new job as a paranormal investigator to work alongside him. She could be interested in Tempest, but even after she arrested (thankfully he was innocent) Brett Barker, the single, athletic multimillionaire heir to the Barker family fortune, he still wants to take her on a date to Paris in his helicopter.

How does a girl say no to that?

But Tempest has a case for her to look into: There is an elevator in a nearby shopping center that has a ghost in it. The specter has shown up on a photograph, and people's belongings have gone missing from inside the lift without anyone getting on or off. The shopping center manager wants the case solved, but will she be able to bring the spook into the daylight and reveal its true nature? Or will she get stuck in the dicksand with Brett like sassy best friend and police colleague Patience Woods predicts, and just be too distracted to solve crimes?

It is time to find out if she can be who she wants to be in both her professional and personal lives.
Best big girl knickers on.

Do ghosts exist? Amanda's about to find out.

Amanda Harper has agreed to work for Tempest Michael's Blue Moon detective agency. She still is working her notice at the police station but takes her first case for Tempest. Not wanting to see incapable and ask for her Amanda goes to investigate the strange happenings in the lifts at a shopping mall. This book is brilliant Patience Amanda's partner on the police force tags along and she's hilarious with what she comes out with. I prefer the narrator who narrated Lord Hales monster but this narrator is still good. I do love these books they have a mystery, lots of humour and keep you guessing. This one had stinky farts too!I received a free copy of this book from the author but the review is my own opinion.

Fun and frothy

This was a light and fun read, and Ienjoyed the story. Some of the conversations reminded me of Stephanie Plum and Lula, but I was a little surprised at the graphic language. Nevertheless, once I got over my surprise, I enjoyed the banter. The narration was fine for the tone of the book. This is not great literature, or great dramatic performance, but who cares? It's fun. I requested this audiobook and voluntarily left this honest review.

Can You Kick a Ghost in the Nuts?

Amanda Harper is on the last few of her shifts with the police. She is tired and has no respect for her police chief, Quinn. She has opted to work for Tempest Michaels. Her first job with Tempest is to get the truth behind a ghost at the local mall. On top of this she is starting to date a man she had to arrest on a prior case. Can she balance her new career with the last days of her current career as well as a new relationship? Time to be the woman she knows she can be, Hannah Richter brings Amanda and her friend Patience to life and draws you into the story and their lives. Fantastic audio and story

Good character info, too short, narrator ok.

This is ok for a short story, but not worth even half a credit. Disappointed. Even though I’ve now listened 5 other books in the series, with 3 different narrators who had varying levels or success, this now 4th narrator is not a favourite either since I’ve heard who voiced Amanda in book 13 and now that is her voice in my head. Still, this gal is not terrible.

Ghost in the shopping center

This novella length listen introduces Amanda Harper just as she is starting to work for Tempest Michaels. The audio repeated some parts and had sort of odd pauses in a couple places. I didn’t care for some of the language or sexual talk Patience used. It detracts from an otherwise entertaining story. There is a ghost in the shopping center elevators.

A Fun Short Read

Very light and easy read for a mystery that may or may not be paranormal (no spoilers here!). Our main female protagonist is a young cop in the midst of changing careers to be a PI for a "paranormal detective agency." Somehow, and unrelated to the main plot, she is suddenly dating a handsome multi-millionaire?!? No matter, the ghost is the main objective...will she get her man/ghost?? Enjoy!

This is a story of Amanda's first case for Tempest Michaels. She is meticulous and quickly solves her first case on her own. I can't wait to see what other adventures .she encounters and how her relationship develops with her new boyfriend. A quick and entertaining read with adventure.

Too much fun!

situational-humor, verbal-humor, investigation, laugh-out-loud Amanda is working out her two weeks notice from the police department and transitioning into her new job as an investigator for Blue Moon Paranormal Investigations. She asks her zany coworker Patience to give her a hand with her first assignment only to find out that Patience fears ghosts. Lots of fun complete with a personal laugh and groan situation at the end.
