About this listen

I told her my secrets and she told me gilded lies.

The words that dripped from her lips like honey were nothing but empty promises. Her betrayal blindsided me. Posie had been my constant. My anchor. My calm. Until she wasn’t.

Now she’s my enemy.

Before I could even the score, she fled to the other side of the country where she thought she was safe from my wrath.

She was wrong.

It didn’t matter how far my butterfly flew, I always knew where she was. All I had to do was wait and prepare for her return.

After six years, Posie has flown back into town, and I have her cage waiting.

Butterflies & Vicious Lies is a standalone enemies-to-lovers college romance. It contains mature content and a guaranteed HEA.

This story have multiple tropes I love rolled into one. Best friends brother, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, bully, academic setting, and more. The story begins with poise who has to betray one brother in order to save the other and takes the blame for something she didn’t do. Raff is a mastermind who has conditioned himself to hate the girl he once loved and will stop at nothing until he gets his revenge.
I loved posies unwavering loyalty and devotion throughout the book as she sacrifices her love of one brother for the other. Towards the end there’s a big twist that explains everything and had me reaching for a box of tissues. There’s a lot of abuse and trauma in this book and the author did a great job of making these delicate topics realistic for the readers. I love the fact that her characters were able to face their addictions and seek professional help for their trauma and showed that the healing process is a slow journey but that seeking help is the first step. 👏👏👏
