    "Great Book...terrible narrator"
What did you like best about The Seed? What did you like least?

I'm a big fan of Jon Gordon's work. The content of this book was great. However, the narrator was horrible. His intonation is soo annoying that I found this book very difficult to finish despite the great content.

Would you be willing to try another one of Erik Synnestvedt’s performances?

    No

    Any additional comments?

Jon Gordon is a talented author and narrator. I hope that in the future he sticks to narrating his own books.

    "Narrator voice inflections were distracting"

I loved the story and the voice, however, the enunciation and emphasis on words at the ends of sentences were awkward and choppy.

"A light yet insightful self questioning story"

Funnily enough i wasnt expecting such a light hearted and follow through story. I have read many practical books on finding my purpose and this has been one of the most inspiring, allowing me to question myself in the process of a fable. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to explore where they are at, why they may be there and just enjoy the story of a life and the signs in the offering. This book does make you think about the part you play in the bigger picture, and ultimately the choices that are yours. This will be a book i go back too when i need a rejuvenating view of a life - which is the ultimate review of an audio book from my perspective.

"Good Message - Bland Book with Terrible Narration "

While I truly appreciate the intent of this little book, I feel this is the epitome of white, Christian, corporate, "safe" messaging. Perhaps that is needed in many circles, however, and so I applaud the author's efforts to get it out there. In my mind this book is the standard casserole served in the cinder-block church basement "fellowship dinner." Perhaps the chef felt he was adventurous by adding a little oregano this year with the naming of the dog "Dharma," but still - it's the same old casserole that everyone loves. I was left just tasting the mushy salt browned carbohydrates that is undeniably filling, and yet causes sluggishness. Give me food for the soul that provides flavor, texture, nutrition, and strength, please!

One can only hope that the narrator has read some of these reviews and has decided to plant his seed elsewhere, as it is truly an abysmal performance. I'm sure he's a nice man. His voice SOUNDS like he is a nice man. It's simply that he is a really terrible narrator. I was so amazed at how bad the performance was that I became intrigued as to who this person was. I looked him up and found he's read many books! He is actually PAID to do this repeatedly. Unsurprisingly, he has many terrible reviews for those books as well. People like this fascinate me. I wish him success. Either in another field, or in Voiceover classes.

All in all, if you enjoy safe, White, Christian messaging as read by a man with exact and annoying speech cadence, then this book is for you!

    "A Lovely Story"

The Seed is a lovely story about finding meaning and purpose in life. or more accurately, bringing meaning and purpose to life. Though a little clichéd at times, well worth the listen if you are looking for direction in your career or life.

"To Understand Fully you Must Be Ready"

Awesome and Powerful. Just to think after five jobs and nearly leaving my fifth when I hit the highest success I knew it was more than money but what.

The reader was clear but lacked enthusiasm in voice for book. But didn't matter in end, story was right on target for most people and to think when hitting bottom at your current job are you ready for the real reasons for your dissatisfaction?

    Recommendation:
    1. Don't listen straight through. Would be nice if there were "suggested" stopping points.
    2. Find key areas to stop and take the journey like "Josh". When reaching his point then continue the book.
    3. Also, recommend trying to identify what is your true formula for your success that you operated on prior to reading (listening).
Hard work, Excellence or taking pride? Mine was If I'm going to do it, then do it well. BUT, no matter what if not following your true passion that uncovers your purpose, your originally developed drive will fail you or will make others around you seem like a failure. Either way you miss our creators purpose and bandaid your life missing your full potential.

DONT RUSH IT OR TAKE THE JOURNEY IF NOT READY. REMEMBER "JOSH" TOOK TWO WEEKS AND EXPLORING HIS PATH. CANT DO IT IN FOUR HOURS

    Any additional comments?

Nothing really groundbreaking and it has some corny dialogue at times. It also goes into religion for a moment a little heavily. It's still worth the gold nuggets in the book to listen for though.
