What differentiates the highly successful market practitioners - the Market Wizards - from ordinary traders? What traits do they share? What lessons can the average trader learn from those who achieved superior returns for decades while still maintaining strict risk control? Jack Schwager has spent the past 25 years interviewing the market legends in search of the answers - a quest chronicled in four prior Market Wizards volumes totaling nearly 2,000 pages.
In The Little Book of Market Wizards, Jack Schwager seeks to distill what he considers the essential lessons he learned in conducting nearly four dozen interviews with some of the world's best traders. The book delves into the mindset and processes of highly successful traders, providing insights that all traders should find helpful in improving their trading skills and results.
Stepping clearly outside the narrow confines of most investment books, The Little Book of Market Wizards focuses on the value of understanding one's self within the context of successful investing.
If you've heard anything from the other books, it's probably not worth listening to this one.
I'm a huge fan of the Market Wizards books and consider them compulsory reading for traders and investors. This is a very handy, compact summery of the principle lessons from several decades of Schwager's interviews with great traders of every kind, and draws out the key similarities that they share despite their vastly different styles and strategies.
It's a really useful refresher that one can quickly use to get back up to speed after a break from the markets, or following a losing period. Although it is not a substitute for reading the series in it's entirety, and wasn't intended to be.
Narrator is good.
I really enjoyed this intro to the world of market trading. It's very inspiring to hear advice from successful traders.
It is easy to listen to and very much a must for all traders don't follow the crowd
What made the experience of listening to The Little Book of Market Wizards the most enjoyable?
If you are in to the subject matter, you are going to love this book. Jack Schwager has written lots of these books and it is fascinating to hear the inside stories from people who successfully trade the market. Mr. Schwager is no slouch either, he knows the core questions to ask, in fact it is hard to imagine he could ask more to the point questions without being tossed out of the office as a corporate spy.
What about Danny Campbell’s performance did you like?
Easy to listen to but perhaps this book could have used two narrators as he uses voice styles to try and play some of the people being interviewed, it gets a tiny bit confusing.

Great intro into the Market Wizards books. Read each book to dig deeper into each topic.
First I would recommend reading the series then this, as this is just a summary. The lessons here are timeless.
As always, great work by Mr Schwager. This is a summery of some of the good parts of market wizards. However it's just that, a summery. If you are interested in this topic: read market wizards.
