Warning: Do not listen to this book if you hate money! To build a successful business, you need to stop doing random acts of marketing and start following a reliable plan for rapid business growth. Traditionally, creating a marketing plan has been a difficult and time-consuming process, which is why it often doesn't get done. In The 1-Page Marketing Plan, serial entrepreneur and rebellious marketer Allan Dib reveals a marketing implementation breakthrough that makes creating a marketing plan simple and fast.
Don't fight for customers; let them fight over you! Have you ever queued for a restaurant? Preordered something months in advance? Fought for tickets that sell out in a day? Had a hairdresser with a six-month waiting list? There are people who don't chase clients; clients chase them. In a world of endless choices, why does this happen? Why do people queue up? Why do they pay more? Why will they book months in advance? Why are these people and products in such high demand?
What do Starbucks and JetBlue and KrispyKreme and Apple and DutchBoy and Kensington and Zespri and Hard Candy have that you don't? How do they continue to confound critics and achieve spectacular growth, leaving behind former tried-and true brands to gasp their last? Face it, the checklist of tired P's marketers have used for decades to get their product noticed - Pricing, Promotion, Publicity, to name a few - aren't working anymore.
Ray Dalio, one of the world's most successful investors and entrepreneurs, shares the unconventional principles that he's developed, refined, and used over the past 40 years to create unique results in both life and business - and which any person or organization can adopt to help achieve their goals.
Mark Twain once observed, "A lie can get halfway around the world before the truth can even get its boots on." His observation rings true: urban legends, conspiracy theories, and bogus public-health scares circulate effortlessly. Meanwhile, people with important ideas (business people, teachers, politicians, journalists, and others) struggle to make their ideas "stick". In this indispensable guide, we discover that sticky messages of all kinds draw their power from the same six traits.
The first book to deal with the problems of communicating to a skeptical, media-blitzed public, Positioning describes a revolutionary approach to creating a "position" in a prospective customer's mind, one that reflects a company's own strengths and weaknesses as well as those of its competitors.

Every marketer tells a story. And if they do it right, we believe them. We believe that wine tastes better in a $20 glass than a $1 glass. We believe that an $80,000 Porsche Cayenne is vastly superior to a $36,000 VW Touareg, which is virtually the same car. We believe that $225 Pumas will make our feet feel better, and look cooler, than $20 no-names...and believing it makes it true.
Often the decision between a customer choosing you over someone like you is your ability to know exactly what to say, when to say it, and how to make it count. Phil M. Jones has trained more than two million people across five continents and over 50 countries in the lost art of spoken communication. In Exactly What to Say, he delivers the tactics you need to get more of what you want.
Four-time New York Times best-selling author Gary Vaynerchuk offers new lessons and inspiration drawn from the experiences of dozens of influencers and entrepreneurs who rejected the predictable corporate path in favor of pursuing their dreams by building thriving businesses and extraordinary personal brands. How do you cut through the noise, commotion, and bad information that is right now cluttering up your customers' digital space? Epic Content Marketing. One of the world's leading experts on content marketing, Joe Pulizzi explains how to draw prospects and customers in by creating information and content they actually want to engage with. No longer can we interrupt our customers with mediocre content (and sales messages) our customers don't care about. Epic Content Marketing takes you step by step through the process of developing stories that inform and entertain and compel customers to act - without actually telling them to.

Developing and implementing a strategy is the central task of a leader, whether the CEO at a Fortune 100 company, an entrepreneur, a church pastor, the head of a school, or a government official. He shows you how insight can be cultivated with a wide variety of tools for guiding your own thinking.
According to the Small Business Administration, 90% of service businesses will fail within the first five years. They fail not because they don't offer great services and products, but because the owners are extremely uncomfortable with traditional marketing and sales. The result is a frustrated, isolated, and overwhelmed business owner who does not know there is an entirely different, highly successful approach to marketing and sales available—and it's laid out in Book Yourself Solid.
It was very relatable, interesting and above all very intellectually informative about the service industry. A-Z of selling the invisible service.
This audio book has some great new ideas as well as reinforcing known principles.
I have listened twice and will no doubt listen again.
I have listened to this three times since I bought it. Each time I learn something. I have today purchased Mr Beckworth's other books so impressed am I by his common sense, jargon-free explanations and general approach which is instantly applicable. BTW the narrator does a fine job of presenting the material too.
I wish this audio was longer. its to the point and you can get through it quickly. make notes and listen to it again and again. i will also need to purchase the physical book to get more content
I have been running my own businesses for years and only just lately have been giving extra effort into marketing. I got this book thinking it would give me a few guidelines. It done more than that it has helped me remodel my entire outlook on my business. I only wish I bought this book years ago!! I whole heartedly recommend this book along with "It's not who you know but it's who knows you!"
Been selling solutions for years, this really helped me put an effective thought process together.
It was a book of opinions and very very short. I don't feel that it was worth the price.

'Selling the Invisible' is the challenge faced by any marketer of services. The fact that services are also increasingly dominant in terms of economic contribution to GDP in most developed (and developing) countries means that learning how to market them (note: MARKET, not SELL!) is a skill that can no longer be ignored. This book provides a great introduction to this fascinating field of expertise. Enjoy!

A lot had been said over the years on why businesses fail. This book spells it out plainly.
Some really great points that are timeless. I highly recommend this audio book for those struggling or refining how to sell a service. I hope you get as much out of it as I did.
Less is more in building a brand and selling a service. Dare to over simplify!
Simple and clear principles that you can apply quickly into your business and marketing. Quite short though.
