Summary

Learn what financial advisors don’t want you to know!

Robert’s rich dad often told him: “The faster your money moves, the higher the returns and the lower your risk.” Conventional financial wisdom recommends that you save money and invest for the long term. In other words: park your money.

That was not rich dad’s advice. He taught Robert to increase the velocity of my money. And, even if you start small, it’s advice that anyone can follow and benefit from.

Good advice but slowly given.

As so often with Robert Kiosaki, he gives sound advice - he just takes a long time to give it, pads it with a lot of waffle, and insists on wrapping it up with a huge amount of mythos about a “Rich dad” who was never anything more than a fable he made up to illustrate a (valid) point.

A book written in 2004 crammed with predictions about the future, inevitably shows it's age when read in 2021. But the core messages are sensible and sound:

- Buy things that make you money, not things that cost money.
- Take an interest in finance.
- Don't think the finance industry has your best interests in mind.

The narrator is fine, although his cadence is a little slow.

Great book

This book has a lot of useful information about how to invest like he does and, whilst he mentions the poor dad rich dad content this book has more detailed information on investing. It is more a guide than a step by step book. I took notes and a lot of it sounds reasonable.

Repetitive and doesn't tell you anything financial

Should put in the motivational speaking section rather than financial education as doesn't teach you anything about investing for your future just says "if you do it right, you will reach financial freedom".

Truly amazing and educational

This book is another addition to the 'Rich Dad' series, which shines a lot of light on the investment market, how money should be handled and managed, and overall how to build an asset that works for you.

A lot of meandering repetition, but some nuggets

I struggled with this book but would strangely recommend it if free on Prime. It has a huge amount of repetition, it meanders between ideas, often introducing a topic or chapter and then drifting back to some unrelated repeated point from earlier.

Having said all that, if you are in a forgivable mood it does have some good points and helped me think further on how I invest in my future.

Financial Wisdom

An excellent book, which explains the past, present and the future of the financial world in a very easy and comprehensive manner. A must read.

Very interesting and easy to listen to

Worth while listening to even if you have previously listened to other RK books (that tend to repeat themselvesl

Great last two chapters

Overall, I found this audiobook slow and unnecessarily drawn out. The wisdom Robert shares is no doubt valuable, but can also be found within a number of his other books. If you’re on the fence about listening to this one in particular, I personally wouldn’t recommend it. Although I must admit that I enjoyed the last two chapters if nothing else. Robert’s written many great books which I do highly recommend such as, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Cashflow Quadrant, Increase Your Financial IQ and Fake.
