Options Trading for Beginners is ClydeBank Finance at its best, making complex ideas clear while endowing listeners with a wealth of powerful new knowledge.

If you could sum up Penny Stock Trading & Options - Trading QuickStart Guides in three words, what would they be?
I needed this
Any additional comments?
I am interested in penny stocks but didn't know a lot about them, so I signed up with an online brokerage and researched on my own. The more I read about it, the more cautious I became. After a few weeks, I got nervouse about investing and I backed out of the idea entirely and without investing a single penny. I'm glad I waited.
I received a copy of this audio book free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. As it turns out, it was just what I needed. This is a primer for the beginning investor who is interested in dipping a toe in the penny stock and stock options markets. Actually, it isn't one audio book, but two, offered together in one convenient bundle along with a companion pdf.
Narrated by Peter Bierma, this is an easy to understand beginner's introduction to the world of penny stocks, and in some aspects, the stock market as a whole. The first chapter starts off with the basics of stock trading. The lessons covered the risks, the metrics and formulas needed to properly research the stocks before you even consider investing. It also warns about some of the scams that are rampant in this largely unregulated area of the market.
I had already done some research into the topic, so the first few chapters were somewhat rudimentary for me. However, I was unfamiliar with the metrics, formulas and ratio calculations and they were quite helpful. These were the tools I did not have before. I now have something to work with and a renewed interest in the penny stock market.
The second title in the audio book bundle was a bit more difficult. It is called Options Trading. It is a beginner's guide to stock options, something I had heard of but didn't know. It's also written for beginners, but it covers an area of the stock market that seems more complicated to navigate and understand. I slogged through it, and I learned a lot, but some of the advanced strategies were a lot to comprehend. To be fair, my interest in the stock market is limited to penny stocks and not stock and commodity options trading, so I got lost a few times.
Options Trading does a good job of explaining things relatively simple terms in spite of the subject matter. I can't say that it was more interesting in audio book form, but the real world analogies and examples were simple enough to keep me from getting completely lost. The topic doesn't work well in an audio book format without some a visual element as some of the concepts can be difficult for the beginner to understand without charts or illustration explain it all. Fortunately, you get them in this package in the Companion PDF.
The PDF includes all the graphs, formulas, etc. referenced in both of the Quick Guides. According to rhe audio book, the pdf is helpful but not necessary to understand the content. I disagree, especially when listening to Options Trading.
The pdf file is downloaded separately, and the audio book tells you where and how to download it. It is important to do this before you begin to listen to the books. Trust me, you need the companion.
There is one issue with the audio book bundle that is important to note. Each illustration in the companion pdf is labled as FIGURE 1, FIGURE 2, etc. The Penny Stock Trading audio book matches the figures correctly, but the Options Trading book does not reference them correctly from illustrations 24 to the end of the companion. When the narrator says "please refer to figure 24 in the companion pdf", the correct figure is 28. From Figure 24 on they are 4 numbers off. This makes an already challenging topic to grasp all the more confusing.
With an exception of the numbering offset between the narration and the companion pdf, this audio book bundle is recommended for anyone who is thinking about getting into the penny stock market. It's relatively easy to listen to, even when you are on the go. It also has some very good advice for beginners.
