Get empowered in less than an hour

Listening to this audio book requires less than an hour of your valuable time. It's more than worth it. Although I'm not a native English speaker the content is easy to comprehend and narrated in an empowering style. I'm going to buy the paperback version of this audio book as a reference book and to read it at a slower speed, to take the time to formulate my ultimate goals, reflect on them and then persue them. The paperback version will also allow me to see the references in writing to the inspirational examples which are cited and quoted. The audio book will remain my booster whenever I have to refocus and get going again when the going gets though. Less than an hour, to be inspired for the rest of your life.

Feeling motivated

I found this book extremely helpful on a personal level. I have always struggle with maintaining motivation and I found this very inspiring. It gave me a number of tips to help me maintain dedication and commitment to achieve my goals.
It has a number of inspiring quotes from famous people that I would consider very successful, that I have taken note of to reread when my motivation may be low.

Very Personal

Yes; as someone who has suffered from low self-esteem in the past, I find any way to keep my motivation from flagging again to be useful.

No particular moment; the whole book was on an equal tier of memorability.

What does Joshua Mackey bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

His narrative style is one that is both easy to listen to, with a tone and mannerism of voice that is neither too serious nor too light-hearted.

Listen your way to success!

Motivation is a great listen that says what it does on the tin. With his usual enthusiasm, Joshua brings the content to life, as he moves through it at speed, with oodles of light and shade. The content is comprehensive, building on the foundation of a breakdown of what motivation is, through to a wide range of motivational theory. It then explores self-regulation, dealing with and working through the stress response, and ends with a huge number of motivational examples and tools.
This book is a little nugget of goodness for anyone struggling to find the impetus to push through to solutions for life's problems. For me, the best moment was a link to the concept of tapping, which I hadn't previously been aware of but have found to be unusually effective in combating stress.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

There was nothing original or enlightening in this book - a couple of quotes and tips for goal setting but nothing we don't already know or can't find in a 10 minute YouTube video. Somewhat disappointed.

Motivation practice for everyone !

If you are struggling with everyday motivation, and wish you were more motivated, this book is for you. It uses some useful example about how can you increase your motivation and where to start if you really want to achieve your goal. I really like the idea of having someone around who knows about your goals and is sort of "keeps you in check" and if you fail to achieve those small steps towards them. It also shows the importance of prioritizing and organization, which I agree with - planning is everything when it comes to being motivated and achiving your goals!

Be motivated and make things happen!

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I did and it's really hard when you are alone. But learning how to stay motivated even when your family and friends don't support you was priceless for me!

Motivation is extremely important aspect in life and it’s crucial if you want to achieve your goals. If you’re lacking encouragement to reach your goals this book can really help you be motivated and enthusiastic. In this book you can find plenty of advice and ideas on how to stay motivated and change your outlook of life. You can also learn how to practice self- regulation and how to manage fear.
Additionally, you can learn how to eliminate negativity and deal with obstacles, as well as use failure to your advantage.
Visualize your success – superb advice!
I strongly recommend this to anyone who has goals and dreams to achieve; take action and change your life today. This book can help you with that!

Motivation is one of the Keys to Success!

We all know that education is the key to success, but what people don’t realise is that we cannot succeed with just education alone. There are a lot of factors other than education and one of those is “motivation”. Why? Well, how would we be able to study and educate ourselves if we’re not willing and motivated enough to learn?

I think that the most important lesson of both this book and in life is to learn to motivate ourselves in order to achieve our goals and eventually succeed in what we do.

Life-Changing!!

I am the kind of person that needed to be constantly motivated and so this was just the book for me. It helped my self esteem and I feel much more confident at work and in office meetings. Recently I had found myself just passing time at work and in life but after listening to this book I feel like every life is meaningful if you are motivated. I am following the step-by-step guides in this book and I have started noticing a change in my colleagues' attitude towards me. This book is very absorbing, inspiring and uplifting and I can listen to it everyday in my car on my way to work.

Great tips to improve your motivation

What made the experience of listening to Motivation: Master the Power of Motivation to Propel Yourself to Success the most enjoyable?

McCloud provides valuable links to inspirational video and quotes that you can write down to get extra motivation. My favorite quote is “If you don’t risk anything, you risk even more” by Erica Jong. If you are overwhelming by fear you not prevent yourself from failure but you stop yourself from success. So it is always worth to try even if you will be unsuccessful you can learn new things. So you always win.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the story of Arnold Schwarzenegger how he grows up with family with alcoholic problem and was punished for every misbehaved. He went to army and learnt to bodybuilding techniques. How successful coach, actor and politic he is now. McCloud gives a link to you tube video about Arnold and that is very interesting movie that inspired you.

What does Joshua Mackey bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Joshua Mackey is my favorite type of narrator. He is calm, making brakes when necessary and stress the most crucial moments of the story. He definitely help me be an active listener and making notes during his reading.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Motivation is not easy to teach without work. So you develop your goal and action plan. It is similar to business plan when you can write down your goals. You have to figure out why you want to achieve your goal – like have new car or going to vacation. So your goal is saving money. Then action is to put some lump account every week. You can ask somebody else to check your progress like your partner or friend to ask you every week how is your progress.
Very useful tips that definitely moved me are:
You should eliminate your fear and learn to conquer it. As well as for eliminate excuses. You should reward yourself because you prove yourself that you worth it. You can visualize your success, how you achieved your goals and how happy you are.

"Motivation" shows you that being grateful help you to stay motivated. Impatient you should take a lot of brakes, learn to slow down to achieve better result. You should learn how to get organized, clean your house, organize a space for yourself, keep your computer documents in order. It is many of handy programs than can help you.
