I am just now planning to start my first flip, therefore my perspective is not of an experienced flipper. However, I can say that this book was worth the time I spent listening to it. This book gives a good overview to the process of flipping from planning to buying, renovating, and then finally selling. Although some of the topics are just overviews, the author does spend a good amount of time on some of the more difficult areas.
My only real complaint is the quality of the performance. First, I always call into question an audio book that is read by the author. It is rare that someone with the talent to write also has talent to perform in an audio book. This is a good example. Many times throughout the book he repeats himself. I don't mean that he was trying to emphasize a point, I mean he actually reads the same line twice. This is very annoying and it is obvious that whomever edited this did not pay attention.
Audio performance aside, I would recommend this book. In fact, after listening to it, i purchased a paper-back copy of the book for my reference library. I found that while listening I constantly thought to my self, "I need to write that down". So much of the book is lists of things to do and not do, that having it in writing is a must if you are serious about retaining the content.
Some of the other reviewers commented about how he name drops and such. That may be true, but I never felt as though it did not fit into the book. Use this book as a reference, not as entertainment. The author is no great literary giant, but do you really need him to be? With so few books available in audio on flipping, this is one you need to listen to.

"Find It, Fix It, Flip It" is an excellent book about the lucrative market of flipping real estate even today. It's fantastic to hear the Author Michael Corbett narrate the book! And he also has included updated material and his New Rules for Today's Market!
Author Michael Corbett splits the book into 3 specific, logical chucks, specifically finding a flip candidate, how to go about fixing the property, and finally "flipping" it for profit.
The first section on finding flip worth properties was excellent. Michael does a very in-depth job of describing all of the different aspects of locating a property, performing analysis on the property to see if it could be profitable, creating a team, and surviving escrow. I was especially impressed with his profit calculator.
Part two focuses on the repairs and renovations involved with the flip. The author does a fantastic job of splitting up all the various renovations that can be potentially done with the renovations that will result in profit upon sale of the property. I absolutely loved his sections on lifestyle upgrades, essentially renovations that will attractive a higher price due to the lifestyle the home gives.
Part three finishes up with the final flip. Here the focus is on dressing the home to attract buyers and create a warm atmosphere, and finally selling the house. Again I was very impressed with the ideas and lists that author Michael Corbett came up with.
In all, this was my first book on flipping, but I might not have to listen to any others. This book is complete. I highly recommend this book to the novice and the experienced flipper alike. 5 out of 5 stars.

Would you try another book from Michael Corbett and/or Michael Corbett?
What other book might you compare Find It, Fix It, Flip It! to and why?
Flip, same subject.
What three words best describe Michael Corbett’s performance?
Good, educational, funny.
Was Find It, Fix It, Flip It! worth the listening time?
Any additional comments?
I liked this book, it was not my favorite book on the subject but he still had a lot of good ideas, tips and information in it.
surprisingly there were several humorous comments in the book that I liked, unusual for a book of this nature.
I would recommend anyone serious about RE to listen to this book as well as several others on the subject. Each author will have a slightly different take and some new ideas. Yes some info from book to book is repetitive but repetition makes perfect :)

i really enjoyed this book. The author had a lot of valuable tips that got my wheels spinning. This book isn't going to answer all of your questions in depth, but it will definitely get you thinking. He even gives you a few options when it comes to selling (i.e., short term vs. long term capital gains, 1031 exchanges, tax free up to $500k (when the home is your primary residence for 2 years or more)).
Informative, enjoyable narrative, and straight forward. Michael point of view is that as a flipper, we need to be focus on flipping and not be a real estate agent nor a contractor.
Not very informative...he just tells you to buy a house, fix it up, and sell it for a profit, then do it again...
