Powerful book for any entrepreneur or small business owner

I’ve known Penny thru social media for many years, and always admired her professionalism, confidence and assured manner - so some of the painful sharing of the ‘unseen’ side of business and entrepreneurship was a real surprise.

And also an incredible gift - to be offered that degree of insight into how challenges and problems, can be turned into opportunities for growth and future success.

I’m not sure what I expected from the book - but I definitely received far more than I could have hoped for, and can sincerely recommend that it would be time well spent reading or listening for all ‘entrepreneurs’ wherever you are on your journey.

It’s a great insightful read (or listen as in my case), where Penny bares her soul and talks from the heart to help to try and put balance into your business life. A book that you can read many times, and with each read, a little more wisdom will be found from the golden nuggets that lie within.

A book that can surely change your life

Here’s a marvellous book which can help people learn the Business of Life and find their own success and satisfaction. That’s a big claim but Penny Power has the experience and the skill to lead the way. She has known success and failure; utter joy and stress to the point of breakdown (which she battled against unwittingly); and triumph and disaster.
She has been awarded an OBE for her services to the world of digital connectivity. However she shares her own story to coax readers to find their way to personal success and fulfil their potential. I have found that “Business is personal” shows me the way to building my brand, recognising my own voice and assuring good health in my business, my mind, my body, my finances and my relationships.
The book is clearly laid out and easy to digest. I recommend it for anyone in business especially entrepreneurs and solopreneurs. While halfway through listening to the audible version, read well by the author, I bought the print version as a ready reference book. This is simply the best book of its kind I have read / heard for many years.

Penny, I have just finished listening to your book. Throughout my 30 years of entrepreneurship I have read probably 600 or 700 books, for 99% of them I have taken something positive from all of them. Once in a while a book resonates so much it shakes me and once every few years a book comes along that not only shakes me it enthuses me so much I think it should be read by the masses, the masses of amazing entrepreneurs that are changing the world one problem at a time. A Key Person of Influence by Daniel Priestley was another book that changed my life and which was how we met, I have shared that book with many which I will be doing with yours. Congratulations and thank you for writing this book with such openness and generosity...its a gift. x

Every entrepreneur must read this book!

The author tells a personal and humbling story about the other side of entrepreneurial life, the silent untold one. Many of us live a life of “the positive front”, “the curse of the strong” as she references, she shares wonderful stories that help us empathise with the reality that we are not alone in our challenges journeys and for us to be aware of the hidden toll entrepreneurial life can take. It takes a lot of bravery to open up like the author has, one to be applauded. The book resonated with me and certainly has changed my perspective already to the wilful blindness, I see with many of the people I work with live and trying them to take a more open and honest approach, one to plan the pace they work at. I plan to be more open and honest with people I meet about the bad days as well as the good ones from now on.

Incredibly Powerful! So Raw and Eloquent at once !

I was clinging onto every word from start to finish. “Stop being limited by your past, your battlescars are the most powerful gifts you’ve been given use them to move forward not hold yourself back i’ve learned that i am successful i am happy i am loved and i am worthy i focus on what my values are and reflect on my life with that filter the adversity in my life has made me the person i am i have sometimes loved more deeply than the love i have received i empathise more deeply due to the lack of kindness i have received i build community because i knew what loneliness was like i am what i am because of not despite these things “ - Penny Power OBE This was more than just an audiobook it something like coming out of what I imagine a Tony Robbins experience would be but the female classy version, totally empowering and filled with wisdom from start to finish. Thank You for sharing your voice and inspiring others to find their personal manifesto!
