I thoroughly enjoyed the island setting and how the story unfolded, though l was sure of who the culprit was about one third into the book. Narration was good but not outstanding. might give the next book a try too

Really enjoyed the book but not so much the narrator. Lovely voice but didn't flow. Too many pauses in the wrong places and needs to speed up a bit. Won't stop me listening to the other books in the series!

A really enthralling listen. Loved the juxtaposition of the main character being in law enforcement and his brother being a serial killer. The plot, the twists and turns and the clues to the identity of the killer all made this an excellent listen. I look forward to the next instalment!

The characterisation

I liked the plot and the characters although it was a little repetitive in places. The narrator is a bit like marmite. No trying to ‘act’ each voice. No simpering women’s voices. I enjoyed it.
